Day 353 - A Nice A@@

We all know CrossFit isn't about how you look, it's about what you can do.  But everyone has a body image.  And I think it's human nature to want to look good.  And while I don't obsess about the way I look - (I don't really think about how toned my arms have become until someone comments on them) - I still feel like I have one area that could use a little lift - all that junk in the trunk.  Don't get me wrong - I think I can hold my own in my Lululemon pants.  But it's the dimpled sad pockets of ick UNDER those Lulu's that need improvement. 


You may have seen this image making it's way around Pinterest.  

When I first saw it I have to say I had a little butt envy.  But I showed it to some of my coaches and their reactions surprised me.  One said it's probably a dude.  Another said that her butt is really big - and her legs are really big.  Like probably bigger than my coach's leg.  And that I would have to drink a whole lot of milk to get that kind of bulk.  (And we all know that we don't DRINK milk on the paleo diet).  SO maybe I don't want EXACTLY this butt.  Maybe a smaller more gentle version.  But I'm still doing millions of lunges this year.  Because in the immortal words of Sage Burgener "Lunges really do give you a better butt....which, in turn, makes you a better person."  Amen Sage.  Amen.
